In my quest (obsession?) to find out more information on the Outer Banks, I've come across the following links that have proven to be helpful time and again. Use these sites to find a house or motel room, information about a local restaurant or bar, or where to go to learn to hanglide or find the best fishing charter.

Surf and Turf Online Magazine Surf & Turf is a web site for finding information and colorful stories about the Outer Banks' external environment, including marine animals, places to stay, things to do and sites to visit when vacationing at the beach. They also provide a link to our Bulletin Board (thanks guys!)

Dare County Tourist Bureau HUGE amount of information available on this site, including the Outer Banks Travel Guide and Getaway Card.

North Carolina Outer Banks' Sites Another high content site, including information not only for vacationers, but everyday things such as banks, churches, radio stations, and local government.
The Outer Banks Online Beach Guide Fantastic site (I have one of their T-shirts) with probably the best bulletin board about the Outer Banks (and a great bunch of people posting on it) on the Web, plus restaurant and golf course reviews, and a lot more.

The Outer Banks Sentinel Newspaper Great for local information.
The Wave 99.1 FM. Outer Banks local radio station located in Manteo. You can listen to their broadcast via the Internet.
Avalon Pier Great site for fishing reports. Love that piercam!
Outer Banks realtors This site contains a list and links to realtors throughout Eastern North Carolina.
Salt-a-Holic Fishing information and bulletin board. Great place for questions about fishing and other fun aquatic activities.
Vacationbuzz A nice site with journal entries about others' OBX experiences.

OBX Hotels & Motels A great resource for finding hotel and motel vacancies! Updated weekly.
Virginia Pilot The Virginia Pilot newspaper. They often have stories and information on the Outer Banks in their North Carolina section.
